| dc.description.abstract | Policies and programs of entrepreneurship education in higher education have shown
proven effectiveness in fostering entrepreneurial intention, but there is limited evidence
regarding their contribution to the effective success of business projects. This study aims to
analyze how university education influences the determining factors of entrepreneurial
success, incorporating a sustainability perspective. To this end, an exploratory qualitative
methodology based on a multiple-case study is adopted, analyzing eleven entrepreneurs
with university education through in-depth semi-structured interviews, complemented
by observation and documentary analysis. The results identify a set of key factors associated
with entrepreneurial success, highlighting especially psychological factors such as
leadership and self-confidence, together with previous experience, business vision, and
mentoring. Likewise, it is observed that the university contributes significantly to the
development of certain psychological traits but shows limited influence on the acquisition
of practical skills, entrepreneurial experience, and contextual factors. The study concludes
by underscoring the need to strengthen educational models oriented toward the effective
creation of sustainable ventures and long-term business success. | es |
