At present, the work of teachers is being analysed from different points of view, and this corresponds to a boom in the discipline of didactics and its different branches. In this sense, it seems essential to study how the transmission of knowledge is carried out in educational processes from the point of view of the language used, in order to check whether the communicative act inherent in the act of teaching occurs effectively, what factors inform it, and whether the teaching modality has any influence on the need to use a language with certain characteristics. Thus, this paper focuses on the perception that university students at a Spanish online university have of the communication established by their teachers from the point of view of the clarity of the language used and its expository form. The aim is to analyse the perceptions of a specific sample of students on the linguistic clarity of their lecturers and how this influences their performance as learners.
