Introduction. In the last decades, the interest of the application of educational neuropsychology in the enhancement of cognitive processes is increasing; however, it is in the field of clinical neuropsychology that most articles have been published on the effects of neuropsychological programs and it is necessary to provide studies of the effects that neuropsychological programs have on learning. Objective. The objective of the study was to know the efficacy of a program of neuropsychological intervention applied to children with low academic performance of Early Childhood and Primary Education. Specifically, it is intended to check if there are improvements in the levels of visual, auditory, motor, spatial-temporal gnosis, language, memory, reading and writing skills. Method For this, a quasi-experimental method with pretest-postest design is used. The sample consisted of 30 infants and children (18 girls and 12 boys, 6 to 11 years old), enrolled in two concerted centers in the Community of Madrid. Results The results obtained indicate significant improvements in all analyzed neuropsychological processes: visual, auditory, motor, space-time gnosias, language, memory, reading and writing skills. Conclusion. These data have an important impact in the educational field as they demonstrate the need and relevance of designing and implementing intervention programs focused on the comprehensive improvement of neuropsychological processes in order to optimize the performance of students in Primary Education.
